Program Information

(15 credits)

Pre-service students who choose not to be certified to teach can adopt a minor in Education.

Many occupations other than education - medicine, business, health, journalism, etc. - require teaching others.  The Education Department offers a minor in Education that combines courses and experiences in educational theory and practice.  Students minoring in Education will be prepared to apply skills and knowledge of lesson planning, pedagogy, and assessment to differentiated groups of learners.

• EDUC 329 - Sheltered English Instruction across the Curriculum Credits: 3
• EDUC 330 - PrePracticum in Literacy Instruction for PreK-8 Credits: 1.5
