The Accounting major focuses on preparing students for careers in accounting in small and large businesses, public accounting, for-profit and nonprofit industries. All accounting courses are taught utilizing current business software. Students are encouraged to gain practical experience through internships and volunteering for programs such as the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance). All accounting courses are taught by professors with professional accounting experience.
Test
Accounting majors are encouraged to pursue accounting certificates (CPA, CMA) after graduation.
