PHTH 639 - Foundations of Physical Therapy Practice II This course is the second of three foundation courses in physical therapy practice. Topics include the anatomical and physiological responses to applied physical agent modalities, appropriate selection and application of these modalities to meet specific patient needs. Students will have the opportunity to become competent in the selection, application and proper documentation of commonly used electrotherapeutic modalities, thermal agents, and hydrotherapy applications. Theories underlying these patient treatment approaches are explored in detail.
Prerequisites & Notes Students in Doctor of Physical Therapy Program only.
