HSCI 320 - Health Assessment In this course, students familiarize themselves with the range and variety of techniques used in assessing health-related conditions and states, including disease screening, diagnostic testing, and quantifying subjective aspects of health status. Students learn how health assessments are developed, validated, and implemented, and how health professionals use the results of these assessments to inform subsequent interventions to improve patient and public health. The role of health assessment in the context of epidemiologic research is discussed.
