EDUC 467 - Early Childhood (Gr.1-2) Practicum and Seminar

This culminating experience gives teacher candidates the opportunity to teach students at the Early Childhood, grades 1-2 level. The candidate is under the guidance of a qualified supervising practitioner and program supervisor for a minimum of 200 clock hours. Each teacher candidate is required to demonstrate selected MA Professional Standards for Teachers (PST) and meet the Candidate assessment of Performance (CAP) readiness thresholds. Students attend a seminar conducted in conjunction with the practicum. Site assignments are made by the Office of Educator Preparation.

Prerequisites & Notes
All standards for practicum placement must be met including passing all required MTEL’s.
