Each SHS campus provides a full academic program and the student services that meet the particular needs of adult learners. Once admitted, a student may take classes at any of the campuses or transfer to any campus during the course of the program. All campuses offer programs leading to a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and a Master of Science in Human Services.
Each campus has its own special character, and some offer specialized concentrations. Before considering cross registration or transfer to another campus, students should consult with their advisor.

Boston, Massachusetts

The Boston campus is located at The Schrafft Center, a historic building just off Interstate 93. The 12,000 square feet mezzanine has nine classrooms, including a fully equipped computer lab with videoconference capabilities, an academic success center, a student lounge, a faculty resource room, a conference room, and eight offices. The SHS program has a strong community-based development focus, with experienced community leaders as faculty.
Charleston, South Carolina

The Charleston Campus is located near the newly developed Centre Point area of North Charleston, overlooking the Ashley River, with easy access from I-526. The first private college or university in South Carolina to offer bachelor’s and master’s degrees in human services, the School’s academic programs are designed to meet the needs of professionals working with a wide variety of positions in the public sector arena. The campus has 15 classrooms, a fully equipped computer lab, offices, a faculty resource room, and three conference rooms that can accommodate group sizes ranging from 10 to 25 individuals.
The newest campus of the School began to offer classes in September 2008. In partnership with the YMCA of Greater Houston, the campus utilizes the facilities of the Philips Leadership Development Center on East Governors Circle in Houston for office and classroom space. The campus draws a diverse student body from Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma, with representation from human service organizations, government agencies, and community colleges from throughout the region.
Los Angeles, California

Serving as one of only two programs in the State of California accredited by the Council for Standards in Human Service Education, the Los Angeles Campus serves students from human services agencies, nonprofit organizations, and government departments within the greater Los Angeles area. The facility of more than 14,000 square feet occupies a highly visible location on the ground floor of a seven-story building in downtown Inglewood, next to the Civic Center.
Manchester, New Hampshire

The Manchester Campus is located in New Hampshire’s largest city, overlooking the Merrimack River in the historic Mill District. With easy access to all major highway systems, students are able to conveniently pursue their degrees in human services with an emphasis on addictions studies and mental health counseling. The faculty, staff, and students are also responsive to the needs of the greater Manchester community by offering outreach programs that cultivate community organizing for social change.

Located in City Heights on University Avenue, the campus serves as an educational and cultural center, working in partnership with many community-based organization. The campus hosts a Community Art Gallery that displays art and artifacts representing the highly diverse community that surrounds it.
Springfield, Massachusetts

The Springfield Campus is located on the main campus of Springfield College in this mid-sized city centrally located in western Massachusetts. Students from central Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New York travel to attend the weekend program.

The St. Johnsbury Campus serves the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and northern New Hampshire to provide human services professionals with innovative academic programs to meet their professional needs. There is a strong emphasis on community outreach and education in both addictions studies and mental health counseling. Students at the campus engage in a close-knit learning community and make strong professional connections with both their classmates and professors.
This campus located in the Tampa Bay area enrolls a diverse range of students pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degrees in human services. Students from as far away as Jacksonville, Miami, and Atlanta attend the weekend programs. In addition, this strategically located campus continues to provide access to students from the Caribbean and Latin America.

Chosen to be the first campus initiated as part of the renewed educational collaboration between Springfield College and the YMCA, the Wilmington Campus has thrived in its historic downtown location, drawing a diverse student body from New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and northern Virginia.
