Program Description
The chemistry minor is designed to expand a student’s knowledge in both theory and application across the disciplines of chemistry. Laboratory experiences and/or mentored research supplement the introductory coursework to equip students with the skills necessary to navigate emerging scientific questions and challenges. Students successfully completing this minor are poised to thrive in a variety of dynamic environments beyond Springfield College including, but not limited to, graduate school, including medical or dental school; careers in hospital, governmental, or industrial laboratories, and in allied health fields. Minor Requirements (15 credits)
15 credits of Chemistry (CHEM) 200-level or higher coursework a minimum of three lab courses. Additional Note
Biology, Environmental Science and Sports Biology majors may select a maximum of 8 credits (two lecture/lab combinations) that can be used for both major and minor credit excluding CHEM 331 - Biological Chemistry . |
