Program Description
The minor in Public Health offers students in health-related fields an introduction to a population health approach, including the core functions and organizational framework of the public health process. Students receive an overview of the field of public health, biostatistics and principles of epidemiology through the required courses and can then select additional courses in areas of interest.
The goal of the program is to provide students with the critical thinking, problem-solving, oral and written communication skills, and ethical decision-making skills necessary for success in the field of public health.
