ATPY 626 - Introduction to Art Therapy Research

This course is an introduction to selected quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. Based on art therapy research readings, students differentiate among various research methodologies used in the field, including data calculation and analyses. They are introduced to ethics in research, identify and design a research project, and begin to develop an annotated bibliography. Using heuristic research methodology, students engage in a course-long exploration of theme-patterns in their own artwork.
