HUSB 166 - Music and Empowerment This course examines the role of music, especially singing, in community building and empowerment. Through readings, films, listening to music and group singing, the course explores music as a tool for social change, community development, healing and education. Special focus is given to the cultural and religious roots of music. Students learn tools for using music in their own human service and community work.
