SMGT 410 - Sports Recreation and Facility Management

This course is designed to introduce students to sports and recreation facilities and their operational procedures. Decision processes pertaining to types of ownership-partnership, sales proprietorship, entrepreneurships, salaried employment, management processes regarding facility design, personnel management, marketing, and feasability-are discussed. Identification and understanding of business-related aspects with regard to sound, effective operation of a sports and recreation facility are major emphases.
