Adding and Dropping Courses

Students are required to self-register for coursework in PrideNET.  Exceptions may be granted by the Registrar in cases where students are unable to self-register in PrideNET and there is written evidence that student has either requested or supported the registration(s). 

Registration typically opens in April for the summer and fall semester coursework and in November for spring semester coursework.  Students can self-register at any point thereafter through the add and drop deadlines established for each subsession in the respective semester.  For full semester courses, there is a one-week period after classes begin to add new coursework (e.g. the add deadline) and a two-week period after classes begin to drop coursework (e.g., the drop deadline).  All specific dates related to the opening and closing of registration for each subsession in a given semester are available on the College’s academic calendar. 

Exceptions to the add and drop deadlines can be made only by the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs.
