Public History and Museum Studies Minor

Program Description


Students who complete the Public History and Museum Studies Minor will develop skills and content knowledge required for employment and/or advanced study in a range of fields including (but not limited to) museums, heritage tourism, historic preservation, libraries and archives, as well as private-sector, government, and non-profit jobs requiring research and oral history experience.  Students will be actively engaged in both academic and community projects, which they will incorporate into a portfolio to share with prospective employers.
