Fresh Start

The courses, grades and grade point average (GPA) from an initial Springfield College graduate degree program are archived (e.g., remain recorded), but upon admission to a different graduate program at Springfield College, a new record is established, with a restart of the GPA at the beginning of the new program. The application of this Fresh Start Policy is an “all or nothing” decision: No previous courses/grades will be calculated into the new grade point average. However, previous Attempted and Completed/Earned Credits will carry forward even with the GPA restart. This policy is applicable to students who matriculate into their new degree program beginning the Spring 2021 semester onwards.
