Program Information
The mission of the Master of Human Services with an Organizational Leadership Concentration is an exploration of leadership as a critical skill for the 21st century when change occurs rapidly and consistently. The objective is to use leadership theory and assessment tools to evaluate one’s own leadership skills for and in the field of Human Service. Focus is on the leadership skills needed to develop committed and productive individuals, and high-performing organizations. The graduate student is able to demonstrate expertise in leadership principles, leading organizational change, building organizational culture, data analysis, and relationship building through efficient leadership skills.
Admission to the Organizational Leadership program requires (3) years of work experience, which can be paid or volunteer. The experience should not be limited to just community service and or Human Service
The curriculum includes seven required courses and three elective courses for a total of 30 credits. The length of OL is one year and is delivered in a hybrid platform (i.e., ground and online).
Degree Information
The candidate will be eligible for a Master of Science (M.S.) degree with a major in Human Services and a concentration in Organizational Leadership.
