Students pursuing a minor should notify and consult with the appropriate department chair and complete the appropriate paperwork with the Registrar’s Office so that it can be noted on the transcript.
In today’s world, mathematics is not only used in the sciences and engineering but also in commerce, finance, and the social studies. The mathematics minor is intended to provide students with basic and intermediate mathematical skills that can be used in their own field of study, and with an appreciation of the elegance of mathematical expression.
