Business is one of the most popular majors nationwide. A business degree is very versatile in that is valued in a wide variety of industries. The Business Management major at Springfield College prepares students for leadership and managerial roles within organizations. The curriculum is designed to provide students with the business knowledge base skills that will prepare them for achievement in their chosen fields. Core business course offerings are centered on the functional business areas of finance, marketing, accounting, economics, and management. Concentrations are available in each area. Courses provide a blend of theory and the application of concepts.

I. General Education Program (40 - 46 credits)
The General Education program at Springfield College is informed by its century-old Humanics tradition of educating the whole person in spirit, mind, and body, for leadership in service to humanity. These requirements have the goal of developing literate, thoughtful, socially responsible students, and instilling in them a spirit of inquiry into the nature of humankind and the universe. Towards those ends, the requirements emphasize and encourage: the acquisition of knowledge, understanding, and competency essential for the improvement of the human condition in a diverse society; a search for personal and spiritual values; and the development of an understanding and appreciation of physical well-being. Select 12 credits of Business Administration (BUSM) or Economics (ECON) electives or any of the courses listed as components of other tracks at the 300 or 400 level. A maximum or 3 credits of BUSM 341 (Business Management Field Experience) may be used for this concentration. III. Electives (to complete a minimum of 120 credits)
