HUSB 301 - Integrative CORE Seminar I: Education, Oppression, & Social Intervention The nature and logic of education comprise the focus of this course. Learners’
personal experiences in addition to historical, sociological and political texts
and works of literature and music are used to explore the themes raised in the
course. Among these themes are: the role of social service and educational institutions
in the ideological development of a society; deeper appreciation of cultural values
and their impact on learners’ development; and an appreciation for how the creative
