HUSB 105 - Diversity in America This course introduces students to social construction theories across race, ethnicity, disability, gender, social class, and sexual orientation in society. Students critically examine how the intersectionality of human diversity leads to the disadvantaging and oppression of marginalized groups. In addition, students study the ways that hegemonic forces maintain the dominant group’s privilege, economic status, and power within American society.
