BUSM 317 - Fund Development for Non Profits This course examines fund development for nonprofit organizations, specifically, the methods of writing grant proposals. It focuses on the principles of fundraising, and the tools and techniques to be used in fundraising. Methods of identifying potential funding sources, as well as the process of drawing up proposals and fundraising events are studied. Some of the topics include; proposals and case statements, special events, foundation and corporate philanthropy, marketing and public relations events, government grant and contract programs, direct mail, and membership program, major gifts, and capital campaigns.
