SHSE 120 - Mathematics for Elementary Educators I - Number Sense
As part one of a two-part mathematics preparation series, this course is designed to prepare prospective teachers to teach mathematics at the elementary level. The course explores problem-solving techniques and mathematical concepts that students are likely to encounter when teaching mathematics to children. Some of the topics are sets, properties and operations of the number system, and numeration, including different number bases, with an emphasis on developing number sense and reasoning.
