ECED 486 - Early Childhood Education Internship Internship provides participants with the opportunity to work in a real world setting, such as serving infants, toddlers, and pre-school children, where they are able to transfer theory into practice. The internship or field placement is the equivalent of 500 hours of supervised activities in a preschool or daycare setting. Participants’ involvement during the 500 hours includes, observation with minimal participation, observation with participation, and the final experience is as a sole student teacher in the classroom setting.
