EDUC 542 - Educational Assessment and the IEP Process This course examines how to choose, administer and interpret eligibility assessment tests for students who may have mild/moderate disabilities. Theories, concepts and methods of assessing physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development in childhood and adolescence are explained. Evaluations used by most schools systems and their impact on the writing and development of the I.E.P. are discussed. Information on services provided by other agencies is discussed. Focus is placed on non-discriminatory assessment systems. Field study is required.
