EDUC 637 - Social Justice and Diversity Issues

This course provides students with an understanding of social justice and diversity issues as they relate to both traditional and non-traditional education settings, as well as the impact of social class, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, age, ability, sexual orientation, on education and related work places. Emphasis is placed on the importance of creating inclusive learning and working environments through greater awareness of diversity issues, increased understanding of social justice, and cross cultural skill development.
