ARTS 223* - Studio in Ceramics This course is an introduction to the various methods of pottery making. Students
explore such forming methods as slab, pinch, coil, and throwing. The uses of glazing
and kiln firing as a means for enhancing the design of both the pottery form and
its function are developed. Tests are conducted in differing clay bodies and glaze
information.
