Non-Matriculated Students

A student who wishes to take Springfield College coursework without being admitted to a degree program must complete a Non-Matriculated Registration Request Form and show receipt of the appropriate credential(s) before their registration requests will be considered.  Specifically:

  • Students who wish to take undergraduate coursework must submit an official copy of their high school diploma or GED certification.  They are limited to taking no more than 30 credits of undergraduate coursework under a non-matriculated status.

  • Students who wish to take graduate coursework must submit an official transcript reflecting conferral of a Bachelor’s degree. They are limited to taking no more than 12 credits of graduate coursework under a non-matriculated status.  The Department Chair overseeing each intended course must approve the enrollment before the student would be added to the class roster.

Registration will only be considered when all requisites are met and there are open seats available in the course section.

Students interested in working towards a degree are recommended to apply for admission as early as possible.  There is no guarantee that coursework taken under a non-matriculated status will be eligible for transfer into a future Springfield College degree program.
