The graphic design minor at Springfield College is a comprehensive design program that consists of three areas of study: graphic design, designing for web, and editorial design. Students practice and explore graphic design through research, analysis, and deconstruction. This provides them with the necessary skills and knowledge to compete in the growing fields of social media design, web design, multimedia, visual communications, and graphic design. Individual lessons involve a practical problem/solution approach that emulates actual design assignments in related professional fields. Students also study design aesthetics and their application in our rapidly changing media culture.
