MOST 439 - Sociology and Heritage of Sport and Physical Education

In this course, sociological concepts and theories are used to examine sport from a historical and philospohical perspective.  This course is designed to acquaint students with the cultural heritage and values of human movement and the relationship between sport and the society in which ir is embedded.  A variety of issues and controversies in sport are identified and discussed.
