SMRT 420 - Sport Governance and Strategy

This course has been designed to provide students with a basic understanding of the role of governance in sport through a study of the structures, processes and policies of governing agencies and member organizations within the sport industry. The primary aim is to familiarize students with the basic understanding of organizational structures used in the management and governance of sport. Additionally, students will examine the role of strategy in the goverance of sport at the amateur, professional and international level to further sport development.
