SOCI 410* - Poverty and Wealth Class in Society This course begins by documenting economic inequality and discussing myths that
prevent people from fully comprehending this inequality. A variety of sociological
concepts and theories is used to analyze the causes and consequences of the economic
inequality. Sociological analysis and critique of the mechanics of the capitalist
system in the United States are a central focus of the class.
Fulfills General Education category for social justice.
Prerequisites & Notes SOCI 101.
