SHSE 150 - Mathematics for Elementary Educators II - Geometry and Statistics
As part two of a two-part series in mathematical preparation, this course is designed to help prepare prospective teachers to teach mathematics at the elementary level. The course explores problem-solving techniques and mathematical concepts that students are likely to encounter when teaching mathematics to children. Some of these topics are geometric shapes, their properties and transformations, measurement, probability, statistics and graphing.
