EDUC 562 - Introduction to Special Education

This course provides an overview of all aspects of special education. Learning and behavioral characteristics of students with mild to moderate special needs are explored. State and federal legislation that regulate special education services provide the framework for exploring how students are screened and assessed for special needs and how to develop and implement an Individualized Education Plan.
