HUSB 110 - The Performing Arts: Dance Today

With an emphasis on the formative influence of African American dance on the development of modern dance in the U.S. in the 20th century, students will explore the ways in which dance movements and choreographies are linked to the movements and the spiritual patterns of daily life and how dance reflects the social and cultural values of the communities in which it is embedded.
