ENGL 274 - Asian American Literature

This course examines novels, short stories, poetry, essays, and political texts written 
by Asain Americans.  Students will attend to the form, content and context of the readings in order to develop their ccritical thinking skills in relation to a number of issues, themes, and concepts which emerge out of and in relation to Asian American literature and the American racial context; exclusion, group identity, community individualism, racial identity, and immigration.
